After Austrian shoe retailer CCC’s rapid market exit, the retail spaces at SES shopping centers were quickly assigned to new partners. And as a result, new PEPCO stores will be starting up at six SES shopping malls this fall. On Thursday 21 October, a PEPCO shop will be opening for business at FISCHAPARK Wiener Neustadt. In November, two PEPCO stores will be moving in at the MURPARK and CITYPARK Graz centers. On 18 November, another store will follow at MARIANDL Krems. And at the beginning of December, PEPCO stores will be opening their doors at WEBERZEILE Ried and ATRIO Villach.

The Polish retail company offers a hugely diverse range of goods for all the family, on spaces around 600 square meters in size. From children’s, women’s and men’s fashions through to home products and decorations, toys and stationery, the discounter’s wide-ranging product portfolio includes 40 groups of products, and is all about wide choice at low prices.

“We shall also be continuing resolutely with our series of openings of attractive retail concepts at our shopping malls in the final quarter of this challenging year. In PEPCO, we are welcoming one of the most attractive non-food discounters to sixSES locations in Austria. That will offer the domestic market, particularly families, an interesting newcomer,” said Christoph Andexlinger, Chief Operating Officer of SES Spar European Shopping Centers.

“We’re very happy that Austria, too, is now going to be on the list of countries where PEPCO has a presence. Austrian customers will have the opportunity to visit our branches immediately, and enjoy a pleasant shopping experience offering a wide range of products, of good quality and at low prices. In future, there will be PEPCO stores located in popular shopping and city centers, where, together with the food store chains, they will provide a wide range of products that includes all our customers’ daily needs,” said Anca Radu, PEPCO’s Retail Director.

Big Player for all of Austria
PEPCO currently operates over 2,450 stores in 15 countries, with two new markets and 300 new branches opening for business every year. PEPCO was founded in 1999. PEPCO’s positioning enables it to appeal primarily to middle-income families. The customer segment is between 28 and 45 years of age. PEPCO views itself as being higher-value and more oriented to fashion than its competitors. PEPCO is committed to a wide range of social projects benefiting children across Europe, financing this role through the sale of recyclable carrier bags. Customers can also support these social projects by purchasing certain charity products.
