The owners of the KORZÓ shopping center in Nyíregyháza (Hungary), a pan-European banking group, have commissioned SES Spar European Shopping Centers to manage the center for a further five years. So from January 1, 2025, SES Hungary will continue the successful partnership that has been in place since 2009 as the center operator, thus securing its position in the dynamic Hungarian market. The banking group emphasized the strong partnership and their lasting trust in SES as the operator of eastern Hungary’s leading shopping center.

KORZÓ, the largest shopping center in the county of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, has benefited from SES’s extensive management expertise since 2009, when the shopping center developer and operator took over the management of the KORZÓ center. SES currently manages 31 shopping destinations in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Croatia and Czechia.

KORZÓ maintains its role as a central shopping and leisure destination with several million visitors a year. There are several well-known anchor tenants at the center, such as SPAR, Hervis, Sinsay, Mohito, Cropp, Libri, New Yorker and KFC. Despite the very challenging economic development in Hungary over the last few years, SES has recently been able to open several large shops at KORZÓ. The underground garage with 640 parking spaces offers the largest and most convenient parking lot in downtown Nyíregyháza, while the shopping destination is also an attractive workplace for almost 600 employees.

Christoph Andexlinger, CEO SES Spar European Shopping Centers:
“At all our locations we aim to create vibrant environments with the maximum relevance to customers. At KORZÓ we have succeeded in this with an attractive mix of shopping, family and cultural programs, and successful collaboration with local organizations. This makes the shopping center unique in the region.”

Andrea Schönhauer, Managing Director of SES Magyarország Kft.:
“We are proud that thanks to its central location and exceptional facilities, KORZÓ is not only a shopping destination, but also an attractive location for office tenants: since 2017 there has been a panorama call center office on the top floor of KORZÓ, which was occupied in 2020 by a high-quality, well designed customer service office. KORZÓ is also home to a blood-plasma donation center.”
