On 20 May 2020 – approximately one year ago – ALEJA shopping center opened its doors in the center of Ljubljana. In the space of just one year, the center has made it to the finals of the coveted 2021 Global RLI Awards in London. The newest of the five centers operated by SES in Slovenia was shortlisted among the top four in the “International Shopping Centre – New Build” category. The most modern Slovenian shopping destination, along with malls from Serbia, Italy, and China, impressed the jury. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in London on 23 September 2021.

ALEJA Ljubljana, which was completed in 2020, features unique architecture, a modern concept, and an exceptional shopping and leisure offer. The shopping center is characterized by its mixed-use nature: 80 stores, top-notch gastronomy, and a 6,200-m² sports and recreation zone on the roof – the ALEJA SKY – are all part of the facility. A pump track can be found in front of the building. Aleja, in its function as a district center, has set new standards for retail properties in the Slovenian capital and beyond. The combination of retail, gastronomy, and leisure is perfectly aligned with the latest international trends. In addition, the imposing exterior facade of the center was inspired by the heraldic symbol of Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana – the dragon.
